Welcome to Monflanquin France.

This blog consists of information about the small medieval village of Monflanquin in the South West of France in the Lot-et-Garonne region.

Monflanquin was founded in the 13th century during a period in French history when the English owned and ruled much of the land in this area. Today, the English find it just as attractive as they did 800 years ago.

This Picture shows the main market square in Monflanquin and is full of interesting Architecture and in some months has its very own Medival Festival celebrating the villages history, also in the square every thursday night a large feast is thrown where everyone from the village and surrounding area comes together and eats Dinner on long tables and collects the food they would like from the local trades people from stalls arround the edges.

more information will be posted at a later date.
